Video Cowboys In Paradise - Whatever the thermometer says this spring, it is going to be in the 80’s! At least that’s the case on stage this weekend at McIntosh High School, where the 1980’s pop musical Footloose cuts loose April 30 at 8 p.m. and May 1 at 2 and 7 p.m. The musical features such hit songs as Footloose, Holding Out For a Hero, Almost Paradise, and Let’s Hear It For The Boy! Don’t miss this great opportunity to enjoy a fun-filled evening.

The cast of McIntosh students, directed by Hannah Beth Potter and choreographed by Chandler Clark from Whitewater High School, has been working hard to bring this Broadway show to life. The show was a hit on a national tour and is based on the 1984 film that made Kevin Bacon a star.

Footloose is the story of a hip Chicago teen relocating to a very conservative farming community where rock and roll music and dancing have been outlawed. The stern minister and his wife clash head on with the young outsider.

In the McIntosh production, Michael Reep stars as Ren, the young rebel who sets the town abuzz, while Courtney Stone lights up the stage as Ariel, the minister’s spirited and troubled teenage daughter. Alex Coleman and Kathleen Newman star as the stern Reverend Moore and his compassionate wife, Vi. Jonathan Campbell plays Ren’s buddy Willard, the cowboy with two left feet, and Jenny Ampat is his bubbled-headed sweetheart, Rusty. Garrett Smithley is featured as Ariel’s dangerous boyfriend, Chuck, accompanied by an energetic cast of 26 young singers and dancers busting loose on McIntosh’s Auditorium this weekend. Hasil UAN 2010

Hasil UN 2010 -  ujian nasional (UN) utama tingkat SMA/MA/SMK di Kabupaten Boyolali yang telah dilaksanakan Senin-Kamis (22-25/3) lalu, diumumkan secara serentak hari ini, Senin (26/4). Para siswa dilarang konvoi atau arak-arakan pascapengumuman.

UN 2010 “Ya, hasil UN tingkat SMA/MA/SMK sudah kami terima dari Disdikpora Provinsi Jateng Sabtu (24/4) sore kemarin. Dari Disdikpora Boyolali, daftar kolektif hasil ujian nasional (DKHUN) kemudian diserahkan ke sekolah-sekolah untuk dilakukan rapat pleno, melalui rapat penegas yang dilaksanakan Senin pagi, kemudian akan mulai diumumkan siang harinya, sekitar pukul 14.00 WIB,” ungkap Ketua Panitia UN Kabupaten Boyolali, Sunarto, ketika dikonfirmasi Espos, Minggu (25/4).

Namun Sunarto mengaku belum dapat menyebutkan persentase jumlah siswa yang lulus ataupun yang tidak lulus. Sebab menurut dia, pengumuman hasil UN tersebut baru merupakan tahap pertama mengingat hasil UN susulan belum keluar.

“Jadi persentase total kelulusan siswa tingkat SMA/MA/SMK ini baru bisa diperoleh setelah UN susulan keluar hasilnya,” terang Sunarto.

Lebih lanjut Sunarto menjelaskan pengumuman tahap pertama hasil UN tersebut tergantung keputusan masing-masing sekolah melalui rapat penegas yang dilaksanakan kepala sekolah dan para guru. Sehingga, antarsekolah bisa saja berbeda waktunya.

“Yang melakukan rapat pleno adalah para guru dengan kepala sekolah, untuk menentukan hasil kelulusan para siswanya. Jadi bisa saja, pengumuman hasil UN oleh sekolah pada hari Selasa mendatang. Tapi kami sudah mengimbau agar pengumuman tahap pertama bisa dilakukan secara serentak besok Senin, sekitar pukul 14.00 WIB,” ujarnya.

Sunarto menambahkan pihaknya juga telah mengimbau agar pengumuman hasil UN tidak dilakukan di sekolah-sekolah, melainkan dikirim ke rumah siswa. Hal itu untuk menghindari terjadinya aksi berlebihan para siswa, seperti konvoi atau arak-arakan, maupun aksi corat-coret baju.

“Kami juga mengimbau kepada pihak sekolah agar melarang para siswanya untuk tidak menindaklanjuti kelulusan mereka dengan aksi yang mengundang kontroversi dari masyarakat, seperti konvoi atau arak-arakan. Akan lebih baik jika siswa merayakan kelulusan dengan hal-hal positif, seperti menyumbang buku pelajar maupun baju seragam bekas kepada adik-adik kelasnya,” terang dia

"Dimana, siapapun yang bersalah harus dihukum. Hal ini wajib dilakukan. Karena jika Centurygate ini tidak tuntas, maka kami kuatir akan membawa efek domino lanjutan," ujarnya.

Efek domino lanjutan yang dimaksud, sambung Subhi, berupa krisis ketatanegaraan seperti relasi tak sehat DPR dengan lembaga kepresidenan yang melebar ke institusi negara lainnya.

Handphone Nokia

People want the best messaging and social networking experience on an affordable device, whether it's sending a simple text or instant message, an email, or a direct message from their Twitter account."

The Nokia C3 is expected to cost €90 and will let its users view, comment, update their status and share pictures on social networks including Facebook and Twitter. It also comes with quick access to Nokia's own Ovi Mail and Ovi Chat applications.

The Nokia C6 is a Symbian-based smartphone with a 3.2-inch touchscreen and a slider keyboard. A Facebook feed is available straight from the homescreen, and again, Nokia has added quick access to its own Ovi apps, including email and mapping tools. The C6 also grants access to the Ovi store and its many downloadable applications.

Third is the Nokia E5, which is the most serious phone and could win favour with business users. Again the E5 is Symbian-based, and Nokia said that it combines business features with access to entertainment sites. The E5 has a number of productivity features and will let the user access Mail for Exchange, or Lotus Notes Traveller, for example. It is expected to cost about €180.

Stairway To Heaven

He thought it was an incredible idea and added that she should tackle "Whole Lotta Love" as well. After his suggestion, Mary took Zeppelin full on and the journey began.

Joining Blige on the recordings is a stellar ensemble -- Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, rock guitar icon Steve Vai, Michael Jackson's former touring guitarist Orianthi, and bassist/"American Idol" judge Randy Jackson. Keyboardist and Geffen Records Chairman Ron Fair produced the nearly nine-minute "Stairway To Heaven" and co-produced "Whole Lotta Love" with RedOne, the Grammy award-winning producer who created multiple #1 hits for Lady Gaga. Both tracks also appear on the U.K. version of Stronger WithEach Tear.

Blige adds: "I am a Led Zeppelin fan. I've listened to their music since I was a child, and it's always moved me, especially 'Stairway To Heaven'. I make songs my own by going deep inside myself and translating them to 'what would Mary do.'"

BlackBerry Onyx 9020 to sport Optical Trackpad

Harga Blackberry - So this week Kevin from CrackBerry has confirmed that the BlackBerry Onyx (see above on left) will be modeled “9020″ upon its release. In case you forget the Onyx (9020) is a 3G BlackBerry featuring GSM/EDGE/UMTS, with a 480×360 high resolution display, 256MB of on-board memory, 3.2 megapixel camera with auto focus and flash, GPS and Wi-Fi. Anyway Kevin has confirmed that the

BlackBerry 9020 will actually feature an Optical trackpad like the BlackBerry Gemini 8520 (seen on right). Final production models of the Onyx will in fact sport this new trackpad, rather than trackball like we’ve seen on prototype models. Anyway that’s just a tad bit of Onyx news for now. Stay tuned for more when it arrives…

New pictures have been found online of the un-released BlackBerry Onyx 9020. The site FeedBerry is showing off the Onyx (with trackball, not trackpad) sporting a leather back similar to the BlackBerry Bold. Could this mean that RIM has decided to make the Onyx part of the Bold family? We don’t really have any new details on the Onyx, although its expected to be a slim 3G/Quadband GSM device with a 3.2 megapixel camera, large 480×360 resolution display, Wi-Fi, and GPS. Clash Of The Titans

"Clash of the Titans" cruised to the top of the box office without even breaking a sweat. The 3-D remake of the 1981 kitschy classic took in an estimated $61.4 million this past weekend. That was more than twice what the No. 2 movie, Tyler Perry's "Why Did I Get Married Too?," earned. Rounding out the top five were "How to Train Your Dragon," Miley Cyrus' "The Last Song" and "Alice in Wonderland."

Not only did "Clash of the Titans" have to overcome outside distractions fighting for the attention of its heavily male audience -- including the release of Apple's newest gadget, college basketball's playoffs and Easter Sunday, it also was battling for 3-D screen space with "Alice in Wonderland" and "How to Train Your Dragon."

"If there was a battle out there, victory is ours," declared Dan Fellman, Warner Bros.' president of domestic distribution. The movie, which was co-produced and co-financed by Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures, cost about $122 million to make. That figure does not include the marketing expenses, but with a strong start in the U.S. and an additional $44.2 million from 15 markets abroad, "Clash of the Titans" looks poised to take on all rivals for a few more weeks.

The extra money from 3-D ticket sales was key. According to Fellman, about 52% of the box-office take was from 3-D sales, and ticket prices for 3-D movies can run as much as $5 more than those for regular 2-D movies. Warner Bros. did not initially plan on releasing "Clash of the Titans" as a 3-D movie and the decision to do so clearly helped the studio get a much bigger payday.

The projections for "Clash of the Titans" were that it would make between $60 million and $70 million in the United States. The box office drop was about 18% from Friday to Saturday. Any drop greater than 20% from opening day to Day 2 is considered to be a sign of the dreaded bad buzz. CinemaScore, a market research firm that grades movies based on audience research, gave "Clash of the Titans" a B, according to Fellman, who said the studio was actually anticipating a bigger Saturday drop -- in the neighborhood of 25%. "The audience reaction has been terrific," he said.

The success for "Clash of the Titans" will likely lead to even more of a fury to release movies in 3-D. "Alice in Wonderland" continues to perform and "How to Train Your Dragon" had a very strong Week 2 after an opening weekend that some considered to be disappointing.

South Africa urges calm after Terre'blanche murder

Pidato - South Africa (Reuters) - South African President Jacob Zuma called for calm on Sunday after the killing of white far-right leader Eugene Terre'blanche in a suspected pay dispute with black workers fanned fears of racial strains.

Naskah Pidato - Police detained two farm workers and said they were investigating the quarrel they had with Terre'blanche, but his Afrikaner Resistance Movement (AWB) says he was battered and hacked to death in an attack with political overtones.

Zuma, who has made it a priority to court white Afrikaners, called it a "terrible deed" and urged South Africans "not to allow agent provocateurs to take advantage of this situation by inciting or fuelling racial hatred."

Terre'blanche, 69, was the voice of hardline opposition to the end of apartheid in the early 1990s although his party has played a marginal role since then and does not have a big following among the 10 percent of white South Africans.

The AWB urged restraint while the funeral is prepared and before the party decides next steps. In Ventersdorp, in rolling farmland over 100 km (60 miles) west of Johannesburg, party followers in paramilitary khaki laid flowers at the farm gate.

"We will decide upon the action we are going to take to avenge Mr Terre'blanche's death," said spokesman Andre Visagie.

Concerns over increasing racial polarization have been thrown into the open by a row over the singing of an apartheid-era song with the lyrics "Kill the Boer" by the youth leader of the ruling African National Congress.

The ANC has defended the song as no more than a way to remember a history of oppression, but it has worried minority groups and particularly white farmers, some 3,000 of whom have been killed since the end of apartheid.

STRAIN

"The killing of Terre'blanche will symbolically be seen as a strain of these relationships," said analyst Nic Borain of HBC Securities.

"But Terre'blanche is an old criminal and I don't think people would come to his defense or his killing somehow invigorate white people opposition to the new South Africa."

Terre'blanche's party did not hesitate to link the murder to the song. He had always described himself as a Boer.

"That's what this is all about," Visagie said.

Zuma's spokesman Vincent Magwenya said, however, there was no evidence at this stage linking the killing to the song sung by firebrand ANC youth wing leader Julius Malema.

Terre'blanche had lived in relative obscurity since his release from prison in 2004 after serving a sentence for beating a black man nearly to death.

The party -- whose flag resembles a Nazi swastika -- was revived two years ago and he had begun efforts to try to build a united front among white far-right parties to fight for a white homeland, but had gained little traction.

Terre'blanche was a powerful orator in his Afrikaans language and was a distinctive figure, heavily built, with a thick grey beard and dressed in khaki. He often attended rallies on horseback during his fight to stop majority rule.

Police said the suspected killers were aged 16 and 21. Both had worked for Terre'blanche.

"It seems there was a dispute between and these guys were arrested ... The police are investigating and the public will be kept abreast," Police Minister Nathi Mthethwa told a news conference. "Somebody is dead, can we keep it at that."

Hasil KSN Harus Dijalankan

Menurut dia, pemerintah akan melaksanakan apa yang dirumuskan dalam upaya meningkatkan prestasi sepak bola Tanah Air, termasuk pembangunan dan peningkatan infrastruktur persepakbolaan serta pendanaan.

Komisi C bidang pendanaan mengeluarkan rekomendasi berupa usulan pendanaan persepakbolaan diambil 3 persen dari APBN.

Sementara satu dari tujuh rekomendasi Malang menyebutkan pemerintah menyediakan anggaran dari APBN dan APBD untuk mendukung dan menunjang target dan pencapaian sasaran untuk menuju prestasi (karena dana APBD masih diperlukan untuk stimulan).

Dalam kesempatan itu, Menpora bangga dengan semangat para peserta KSN untuk memajukan sepak bola Tanah Air walaupun ada perbedaan pendapat.

Dalam penetapan hasil KSN ini sempat terjadi perdebatan soal rumusan rekomendasi poin kedelapan soal pembentukan Dewan Sepak Bola Nasional. Pihak PSSI menentang dibentuknya badan itu melalui Nurdin dan sejumlah pejabat teras PSSI.

Akhirnya, Ketua KSN Agum Gumelar memutuskan menghapus poin kedelapan ini. KSN sendiri menghasilkan tujuh rekomendasi.

Langkah nyata perlu dilaksanakan semua pihak baik PSSI, KONI, pemerintah, PWI dan masyarakat sesuai keinginan Presiden Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono agar Indonesia menjadi Macan Asia Tenggara, Asia dan Dunia.
